THE BOARD
The board members serve as an oversight group establishing goals and vision for the organization.
They provide an expertise in medical, legal and administrative matters.
Gloria McPherson, PA
Dr. Scott Clitheroe, MD
Gloria graduated from UTMB’s Physician Assistant program in 1997 and went on to dream Hope Clinic into being. As the founder and Clinical Director, she has poured her vision and dedication into building a place where patients are cared for with dignity and compassion. Gloria has served on the Board since 2012, guiding the clinic with both medical expertise and a deep commitment to its mission.
Dr. Clitheroe received his undergraduate degree from UT Austin and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. An internal medicine physician, he has served on the Board since 2016, sharing his medical expertise generously with marginalized people and helping to lift them up with dignity and care.
Paul Carlson
Jared Marrow
Paul joined the Board in 2014 and brings wisdom, steady guidance, and a heart for undeserved people. He offers valuable knowledge of best business practices and planning, paired with strong people development skills. Now retired as the Executive Director at The Well Community Church, Paul continues to invest his time and insight to help Hope Clinic thrive.
Jared joined the Board in September 2025 and is a CPA working as a Senior Accountant at Arcus. He offers valuable guidance and insight concerning clinic financials, best practices, and oversight. His expertise helps the clinic steward resources wisely so more patients can receive high-quality care.
Brandi Gruis
Brandi joined the Board in March 2024 and brings expertise in program management, marketing, and grant writing. For more than 20 years, she has volunteered with passion and dedication to underserved communities in Austin and the Midwest. Her experience and commitment help strengthen Hope Clinic’s mission every day.
Dustin Fox
Dustin joined the Board in March 2025, bringing his leadership in software and technology alongside extensive experience in strategic planning. For nearly a decade he has prioritized supporting underserved communities, and he is passionate about using innovation and strategy to help Hope Clinic grow its impact.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The committee is made up of individuals who provide expertise, guidance, and support to Hope Clinic leadership. They serve in a consultative capacity only and do not vote on official board matters or bear fiduciary duties.
Paster John Monger
John has been a trusted collaborator with Hope Clinic since its beginning in 2010. As pastor of International Restoration Church and a refugee from Bhutan, he brings a unique perspective shaped by both faith and lived experience. His voice offers invaluable insight into the needs and strengths of the refugee community, helping guide the clinic with wisdom and compassion.
Dick Moeller
Dick serves as President of Enovate Enterprises, LLC, where he advises organizations in areas such as strategic planning, governance, and mentoring. He is also the founder and Board Chair of Water to Thrive, a nonprofit that has completed more than 2,000 water projects in East Africa, bringing safe water to over 1 million people. Previously, Dick led St. David’s Foundation as President and CEO, significantly expanding its impact on healthcare access for vulnerable populations. He has assisted Hope Clinic’s leadership with various projects since 2023.
