THE BOARD

The board members serve as an oversight group establishing goals and vision for the organization.
They provide an expertise in medical, legal and administrative matters.

Andrew Gordan

Paul Carlson

Mr. Carlson joined the Hope Board in 2014. He brings knowledge of the best business practices and planning combined with people development skills. He is the Executive Director at the Well Community Church.

John Monger

John joined the Board in May 2021. He is the pastor of International Restoration Church and is a refugee from Bhutan. His unique perspective offers excellent insight into the needs of the refugee communities served by Hope Clinic.

Brandi joined the Board in March 2024 after welcoming patients as a front desk volunteer since 2022. Her experience in fundraising, grant writing and management, and marketing are an incredible addition to the leadership team.

Brandi Gruis

Gloria McPherson, PA

Gloria graduated from UTMB’s Physician Assistant program in 1997. She is the Founder and Clinical Director of Hope Clinic and also serves as President of the Board. Her passion is patient care.

Dr. Scott Clitheroe

Dr. Clitheroe received his undergraduate degree from UT Austin and his Medical Degree from the UT Medical School in Houston. He serves on the board and as our Medical Director.

Teresa Glenn

Teresa is a registered Respiratory Therapist and a Certified Radiology Administrator, having over 30 years experience managing in clinical settings. She serves as our Treasurer and has been a part of Hope Clinic since its early years.

Andrew is a CPA who joined the board in December 2019. He works at the University of Texas at Austin. His expertise with financial matters is invaluable to running the nonprofit.
